A very quick summary of the houserules for Darelth:
1. We use Arcana Evolved, not the Player's Handbook.
1. Except we don't use the AE spellcasters.
2. And we don't use the AE races.
2. We use Psionics as the primary magic system.
1. Shadowcasters are available after the game begins.
3. We use no magic or psionic items.
1. However, we do use Alchemcial Items extensively.
4. We do not use the standard cosmology. Instead, the planar structure consists of:
1. The Prime Material Plane (Darelth)
2. The Celestial Sphere, containing the Sun, Moon and Stars, with the Sky in between Darelth and the Celestial Sphere.
3. The Elemental Sphere, containg the elemental planes of Ether, Air, Earth, Fire, Water, and Shadow.
4. The Astral plane between the Celestial and Elemental Spheres.
5. The Eternal Void beyond the Elemental Sphere, which also contains the Positive and Negative Planes.
5. We do not use alignment, or effects based on alignment. Though we do play heroic, and not anti-heroic or villainous games.
6. There are dramatic changes to the Speak Languages and Knowledge skills. Among other things, literacy is no longer automatic.
